A Happy Weekend

This past weekend we had the honor of getting to go to our friends Anna and Dan's "hen" and "stag" (bachelor and bachelorette) parties. While Markus joined the men in Windsor for a tour of the castle, some rowing on the Thames, and pizza on the town, I drove with my friend Suzanne and met the girls at a place called "Go Apr", which was an obstacle course in the trees. Suzanne and I joined them just next to the course for a picnic and some bridal shower fun:
My friend Anna (the Bride) is on the far left in this next picture, and here is our picnic group:

After a game which tested our knowledge Anna and Dan, we took the challenge of creating wedding dresses our of trash bags, toilet paper, tape and aluminum foil.

Needless of say, our team won- and that is the opinion of an objective judge.

This little bird was the youngest member of our group. Her mama, Suzanne (on the left in the next picture too), is my beautiful South African buddy.

The winning team. :)

And bridezilla wars.

So that is just a glimpse of Saturday. Sunday, we went on berry picking expedition #2 (expedition #1 occurred Saturday morning, but I forgot to bring my camera, which is unfortunate, because I could show you the bushels full of plums and black berries that we picked. No worries, thought, we've vowed to do it again this next weekend.):
Look how pretty the wild flowers and wheat fields are in our town:

Just next to the Abbey, there's a tiny ally where several plum trees grow. I've been wishing to pick them on my walk to work (every time I pass, some are lying on the ground going to waste), but this was our first chance to hunt. Check out the Markus' hand in action.

And the black berries are "LITe-rally" (Suz and Laura, I can't say that word anymore without thinking of fug and Rachel Zoe) everywhere!!!!!!!!!

Scrunchy picture!! :)

Oh, Happy Day!
